The State of Delaware accepts NO personal checks, only money orders, cash, or company checks (checks & money orders are to be made payable to the State of Delaware).

You have only one (1) year from the class attendance date to apply for your Delaware Asbestos License.

You have one (1) year from the expiration of your old card to attend a Recertification Class at a Region III approved training provider and ACTIVATE YOUR NEW DELAWARE BADGE.

After the one (1) year expiration date you will be required to attend the initial training at a Region III approved training provider all over again.

Cards will expire one (1) year after the class attendance date listed on your training certificate from an approved Region III training provider.

There will be a fifteen ($15.00) fee charged for any replacement badges requested as well as one 1 (1” X 1”) replacement color photo. Photos must be printed on photo-quality paper.

CPR certification cards will only be recognized for a period of one (1) year from the issue date. Licensees must present ORIGINAL card at time of appointment. No online courses accepted.

Any handwritten medicals MUST be originals. No “wet” readings will be accepted for chest x-rays, only the final typewritten report with the NIOSH “B” Reader form. Frequency of x-rays must follow the OSHA requirements.

The initial badge pick-up is done by appointment only. Badge renewals can be mailed.

NOTE: Class “A” certifications are issued on an annual basis.

If you are requesting to be grandfathered into Delaware certification under the US EPA-Region III Reciprocity Agreement, you must submit the above requested information for Class “A” Certification along with all past years training certificates for review by the Asbestos Office. All training courses must be approved by EPA Region III approved and must have been taught within a Region III state's boundaries. You will have to complete a current Worker/Supervisor Application and supply two (2) - 1” x 1” current, color photos, as well as the complete medical (complete physical, pulmonary, NIOSH “B” Reader, & CPR certification if applying as a supervisor (workers are not required to have CPR training)).
