Protecting Environmental Health
Environmental Services protects and promotes the physical and environmental health of the citizens and state employees of Delaware from asbestos, underground storage tanks, and indoor air quality. We strive to prevent unnecessary exposure of the public to asbestos and poor indoor air quality in workplaces and State-owned buildings. Through our Outreach Program, we educate the public to gain voluntary compliance with state and federal environmental law.

Energy and Environment is the lead agency responsible for planning and managing the energy-related tasks for all buildings in State Government. These tasks include benchmarking and tracking energy usage, energy conservation and efficiency, clean and renewable energy procurement, and green building design while striving towards a clean energy economy.
