UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL/ABANDONMENT
The Division of Facilities Management (DFM) has been designated as the lead agency for ensuring underground storage tank compliance.
Situations listed below require an underground storage tank (UST) removal/retrofit project:
- leaking
- inventory loss
- failed tank tightness
- out of service
- out of compliance
It should be noted that the Division of Facilities Management does not own all state tanks, and DFM is not responsible for the ownership and operation of such tanks.
